Capturing the quiet moments on a loud set. These are a few of the production stills I captured for the Australian short film Tender, directed by Jessica Redenbach and starring Katie Jean Harding and Angus Sampson. The drama follows two characters with immediate, sparks-flying chemistry, exploring the fine line between love and lust. I was invited to shoot on location over three days, which was a fantastic crash course in the art of being a unit still photographer. On a busy film set, your job is to find the raw emotion and the hero frames of a scene while remaining completely invisible to the cast and moving camera crew. It was a highly rewarding experience in high-pressure framing, low-light composition, and learning how to capture a massive story in a single, silent frame.
